Electronic Insomnia: New Disease in Collar Worker

Work which is piling or stress in the workplace could be a cause of prolonged fatigue. The doctors reported more and more complaints like this patient experienced. They call it a symptom is constant fatigue. As quoted by the Daily Mail, these patients calls himself syndrome ‘TATT’ (Tired All The Time) or exhausted all the time. But the facts found in these patients is quite unique. Only 1 of 5 patients who complain of TATT, is really suffering from a physical illness, the rest is otherwise healthy and not suffering from any illness.

Some patients are disappointed to hear the explanation that their doctors do not suffer from any illness. They are trying to find answers through the internet or read a reference from the artist who had the same complaint. Some of them also tried switching to alternative medicine to cure their tiredness.

A health expert has a simple explanation for these complaints. The modern worker is experiencing only ‘electronic insomnia “or insomnia due to too much exposed to gadgets (electronic devices). Electronic Insomnia causes of these workers lack of sleep, so the effects are felt exhausted all the time. To treat this complaint is quite easy, by turning off your gadgets before bedtime, both smartphones, laptops, and TVs. That way, your sleep will increase the quantity and quality of your sleep even more.

Professor Adrian Williams of the London Sleep Centre said: “The lifestyle of modern people causing constant fatigue, this is not a strange new disease. Using the telephone and computer in the bedroom is a common cause of sleep problems. Rule standards, the bedroom only for sleep and of sex. ” He also suggested to get rid of TVs and computers from the bedroom to avoid sleep disturbance.

Complaints of this constant fatigue seems to be a global complaint. So, if you have symptoms like those above, do not immediately take medicine. Try to observe yourself, whether frequent overtime work? spend the weekend to sleep all day?

If so, it helps you sleep enough for 8 hours every day. For a higher quality sleep, do not forget to turn off all electronic devices and replace your browsing activities before bed by reading a book. Then you will feel fresh throughout the day and avoid diabetes type 2, hepatitis and heart disease.
